Ingredients
- 60g Unsalted Butter
- 185g Caster Sugar
- 1 tbsp Water
- 200g Golden Syrup
- 200g Salted Peanuts
Method
-
On a low heat add the butter, water and Caster Sugar in a pan, keep stirring until all the butter has melted.
-
Now add the Golden Syrup and keep stirring until all the sugar melts.
-
Continue to stir until the ingredients come to a boil.
-
You can test if it is ready by dropping a bit into a bowl of ice cold water. If it hardens then you can move onto the next step.
-
Add your peanuts to the mixture and stir to make sure all are coated in the mixture. Again you should try dropping a bit of the mixture into ice cold water, if it hardens immediately then move onto the next step.
-
On a baking tray place some baking paper then pour out the mixture onto it and flatten out. Place into the fridge for about 30-40 minutes to allow to cool and harden.
-
Once hardened take out of the fridge then break into smaller edible chunks.
